Guest Speaker Spotlight
Leander City Council
Kathryn Pantalion-Parker, Place 1

Kathryn lives in Leander with her husband Rich and love of her life for 27 years. Upon returning home to Texas in 2009 after 14 years in CA, she jumped right in to get involved in her community, politics, attend political meetings, get to know candidates before voting and get a better understanding of local government.
She helped start two local political groups to engage the public and host candidate forums, later serving on the City of Leander Charter Review Commission. She attended Comprehensive Plan meetings to better understand the process. Attending City Council meetings for years before running for Council helped her prepare for community service. She is currently in her second 3-year term on Leander City Council, serves as the Council Liaison for the Historic Preservation Commission and served on the Economic Development Commission.
Other community involvement includes 9 years as an Ambassador for the Leander Chamber of Commerce, serves on several Committees, regularly volunteers at the events. Kathryn graduated from the Leadership Leander program, participated in Leadership LISD and Literacy Partners. She served on the Board of TPCN (Texas Pregnancy Care Network), current member of DAR and DRT. As a Founding Member, serves as a VP of Membership with LeanderARW. She was inspired to have a local TFRW group to avoid the drive to Austin to see her candidates and representatives. “The timing was right and when people come together for a common goal, great things can happen and they truly have. We have an amazing team of women!”
