Sheriff Boyd, a seventh-generation Texan, was elected as Goliad County Sheriff in November 2020, after a 20-plus year career in law enforcement. Prior to being the Sheriff of Goliad, Boyd retired as Chief Deputy and Interim Sheriff in the Victoria County Sheriff's office, and Assistant Chief of Police for Victoria Police Department. Boyd has been married to Tracye Boyd for 26 years and together they have four children. He is a strong believer in Christ.
